Video: Lorbek on individual awards, winning a Euroleague title & more

We interrupt your San Antonio Spurs playoff fever for a look at a player who could factor in the Spurs’ future.

As we reported here at Project Spurs, Erazem Lorbek could finally be heading to the NBA and join the Spurs this summer which would considerably help the team’s lack of size.

Lorbek, who the Spurs acquired via a 2011 draft day trade with the Indiana Pacers, has been playing well with Regal FC Barcelona. He averaged 13.8 points, 0.3 blocks, 4.7 rebounds, shot 77.3% from the free-throw line, shot 40.4% from the three-point line, shot 59.3% from the field in 24.8 minutes per game in 19 games.

Furthermore, Lorbek was also recently nominated to the 2012 All-Euroleague team and it is this type of recognition which drives him to be a better player.

Check out this video of Lorbek talking about winning individual awards, winning a Euroleague title and much more. For Spurs fans, knowing he has won a title in the ultra-competitive Euroleague should make them feel the Spurs could be adding a winner, someone who knows how to play under pressure, and hopefully crave a title in the NBA.
