Expect Jazz to be much more physical in Game 2

Though the Utah Jazz hung with the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their playoff series, it wasn’t Expect Jazz to be much more physical in Game 2enough as the Spurs took it up a notch in the fourth quarter and won 106-91.

So as Game 2 gets set to kick off tomorrow night, the Jazz want to come out with much more intensity and physicality to match the top-seeded Spurs’ physicality.

“We have to be as physical as they are, so we can run our offense better,” the Jazz’s Gordon Hayward said. “Just a few things like that will open things up a little bit.”

Being more physical seems to be the mantra coming out of the Jazz. Recently, Devin Harris suggested the Jazz should be more physical to limit Tony Parker by handing out some hard fouls on him. But I get it, Utah. Adjustments have to be made if the Jazz want any chance to upset the Spurs and if it means getting physical so be it. However, let’s hope Utah doesn’t try to commit hard or flagrant fouls on any Spur.

But it’s not just simply getting more physical versus San Antonio. Utah shot poorly down the stretch of the game as well as committing costly turnovers. Seems Utah has a lot on their plate heading into Game 2.
