San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker was in the wrong place, at the wrong time when he was in New York City recently.
TP found himself caught in the middle of a Drake entourage-Chris Brown fight which got ugly fast. Bottles were thrown and Parker was caught in the eye which resulted in a scratched eye.
Now, TP is getting litigious and is suing the W.i.P club for negligence to the tune of $20 million.
The suit was filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan on Thursday. It says the W.i.P club in SoHo and its operators were negligent in security and supervision, which allowed the fight to take place.
Everyone saw this coming. Some innocent bystander, like TP, was going to sue someone and while the club is at fault, you know Parker won’t sue the hip-hop stars for their role in starting the fracas. Though, $20 million is steep, it’s not like TP needs more money than he already has. Regardless, the principle matters and someone has to pay for TP’s injury.
