UConn Huskies men’s basketball head coach Jim Calhoun loves to ride his bike. Someone might want to keep him away from it after another accident.
Back in 2009, he hit a pothole in his charity event and broke five ribs at the 12 mile mark but continued on to finish the 50 mile event. This year, riding for pleasure, he suffered another accident after hitting some sand while out for a ride.
According to Dom Amore of the Hartford Courant, Calhoun may have broken his hip in a biking accident near his summer home in Madison, CT.

Calhoun’s annual charity All-Star Game is tonight and obviously he won’t be at Mohegan Sun to watch his former players take part in it.
UPDATE: Calhoun has a hip fracture and is scheduled to undergo surgery tonight according to a release from the school.
