In the battle for TV viewers last night, Frosty the Snowman KO'd the UFC. UFC on Fox: Henderson vs Diaz drew in 3.41 million sets of eyeballs last night, according to the overnight reports. Meanwhile over on CBS, Frosty the Snowman, and Frosty Returns both got over 4 million viewers.
But it's not bad news for the UFC – they still won the most important demographic of the night, that being adults 18-49. And the ratings are right in line with the approximately 3.5 million viewers the UFC has drawn on Fox thus far:
UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs dos Santos: 5.7 million viewers
UFC on Fox: Evans vs Davis: 4.7 million viewers
UFC on Fox: Diaz vs Miller: 2.4 million viewers
UFC on Fox: Shogun vs Vera: 2.36 million viewers
UFC on Fox: Henderson vs Diaz: 3.41 million viewers
UPDATE:
The news just got significantly better for the UFC. The final audience numbers for Henderson vs Diaz ended up being 4.4 million viewers, with 5.7 million tuning in for the main event. This makes it the third most watched UFC on Fox event in history.
