AUBURN, AL On a long field goal that was returned to the house, the Auburn Tigers stun the Alabama Crimson Tide and college football with a last second miracle. It happened as redshirt freshman kicker Adam Griffith tried only his third field goal in his career as he had the stronger leg than Cade Foster.

Also, Foster missed three field goals and if he had made any of these, this wild and crazy ending would have never happened. In college football it’s ruled differently then the pros as they don’t measure in to the endzone so officially it’s considered a 100 yard return of an attempted field goal; however anyone who saw the return knows it was about nine yards deep, in the way then San Diego Chargers corner Antonio Cromartie did against the Minnesota Vikings.

This game was nothing short of amazing and it had some amazingly explosive plays by both teams including a 99-yard touchdown pass by Alabama’s AJ McCarron to Amari Cooper.

Auburn had the aforementioned game winning field goal, and also a brilliant read option pass by Nick Marshall to Sammie Coates for a 39- yard touchdown. This was a balanced game in every sense of the way, and also there was only one turnover in the game and almost 900 yards of offense in this SEC battle.

With this second miraculous win of the year for Auburn, they have the inside track for the SEC Conference title game in Atlanta next week and if they win it will be projected to play in Pasadena for the BCS National Championship Game.

All and all there were some amazing last minute heroics today in several conference rivalry games, but this cherry on top of the giant sundae of great football games.
