Anthony Pettis armbars Benson Henderson
UFC 164
August 31, 2013

Reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson had only been submitted once in a fight, and that was way back in his third career pro fight in 2007.  Since that time he had escaped so many submission attempts that his limbs appeared to be made of rubber.  Challenger Anthony Pettis had never won by submission in his UFC career, and had last tapped out an opponent back in 2010.  Then, in Pettis's hometown of Milwaukee, the unthinkable happened – Pettis armbarred Henderson into submission.  With ease.  In the first round.  Wow.

Others receiving votes:

Kenny Robertson's Suloev stretch kneebar on Brock Jardine – UFC 157

Rose Namajunas flying armbar on Katrina Catron – Invicta FC 5

2011: Richard Hale chokes out Nik Fekete

2010: Fabricio Werdum taps Fedor
