The man known as “The Freak” went nine innings, struck out six and walked one in 113 pitches.
Uruguay Striker Luis Suarez Facing 2014 FIFA World Cup Ban: After biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at the 80th minute of Uruguay’s 1-0 over ten-man Italy, Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez is facing the possibility of being booted from the FIFA World Cup according to media reports. Suarez, who was named the 2014 PFA Player of the Year has had a history of controversy in biting opposing players and making racist comments in the past.
Tyson Chandler Rejoins Mavericks in Blockbuster Trade with Knicks: After helping lead Dallas to a NBA championship over the Heat in 2011, former NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Tyson Chandler—along with Raymond Felton—was traded back to the Dallas Mavericks for point guards Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington, center Samuel Dalembert, the 34th and 51st picks in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Rockets Deal C Omer Asik to Pelicans for 2015 First-Round Pick: In an effort to free up salary cap space to make room for LeBron James and/or Carmelo Anthony, the Houston Rockets dealt center Omer Asik to the New Orleans Pelicans for a 2015 first-round draft pick and $1.5 million in cash per media reports. Asik, 27, averaged 5.8 points and 7.9 rebounds, was going into the last year of his three-year deal where he would have earned $15 million.
