UFC 183 is one of the most highly anticipated fights of modern era

MGM Grand Arena will play host to one of the most anticipated fights in the modern era, and one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history. Anderson “the Spider” Silva will make his return to the Octagon against Nick Diaz on Saturday Night. Both of these fighters have taken a hiatus from the sport for different reasons.

Silva suffered a gruesome injury in his 2013 fight against Chris Wiedman when Silva broke his leg while going for a leg kick against Wiedman. Before the injury, Silva was widely regarded as one of the best fighters of all time, with a 33-6 record. Silva is an elite striker, and has 20 knockouts on his resume.

Nick Diaz has also taken a hiatus from fighting, but it is returning from a self-imposed ban on himself from the Octagon. This will be Diaz’s first fight in two years, but it is unclear whether or not he’ll actually show up in Vegas. He has not appeared in the UFC’s open workouts, but they have not scratched him from the lineup. This is typical of Diaz, who has been a ‘free-spirit’ his entire career.

According to TiqIQ, the average price for this fight right now is $397. Tickets are currently going for as low as $177. These prices have decreased by 22 percent, which could be due to Diaz’s status. If he is scratched, you can expect prices to change again.

According to TiqIQ’s partners over at Hipmunk, hotels in Las Vegas are available for as little as $20 with five different options below fifty bucks.  With so many available options, fans should be able to find cheap lodging relatively close to the MGM Grand Arena.  Hipmunk also has a Las Vegas flights guide with detailed information on available flights into Vegas for fans looking to fly in for the fight.

This event also has other premiere fights on the card. Welterweight Tyrone Woodley will square off against Kelvin Gastelum in a fight that should be won on the ground, as both are excellent wrestlers. Additionally, Joe Lauzon and Al Iaquinta will square off. It will be a battle between Lauzon’s submission skills and Ianquinta’s striking. Whether Diaz fights or not, this card features some great UFC action.
