Wayne Simmonds is just paying it forward we guess — though not in the way the phrase is meant. Few days after having a banana thrown at him, Simmonds finds himself at the other end of the hate stick while exchanging verbal pleasentries with Sean Avery.
Not that one incident negates the other, yelling out a homophobic slur for everyone to see after being at the receiving end of some discrimination yourself is a head scratcher.
Question that remains: Is calling someone a “fucking faggot” worth only a fine or a few games suspension under the Shanahan regime?
