It was announced today that Cincinnati has locked in a two year football series with the Indiana Hoosiers that will begin in the year 2021. The 2 year series will begin in Bloomington on September 18, 2021 and conclude in Cincinnati on September 24, 2022.
The article goes on to say that Cincinnati is talking to Kentucky about a future series, as well as former conference rival Pittsburgh. The most exciting news, to me, is that Cincinnati is also talking to Louisville about renewing the Keg of Nails.
Cincinnati has agreed to series with Michigan and Nebraska in the future as well, along with concluding agreements with Ohio State and Purdue.
The Bearcats and Hoosiers have hooked up 14 times on the gridiron. Indiana holds a 9-2-3 advantage. Cincinnati hasn’t beaten Indiana since November 9, 1957. The last 5 meetings have been won by Indiana. The last game was in 2000, where IU beat the brakes off Cincinnati 42-6.
