We all know about the trials and tribulations of Marc Savard, Matt Cooke's dirty fucking elbow that ended his career and all the stuff he's been through trying to recover. He's had major headaches, memory issues and has trouble with bright lights at times.
We love Savard. We love Savard so much that we made a montage in hopes to inspire a comeback:

So it was good to hear that he participated, and won, a local golf tournament. Thanks to a close friend of mine who lives in that area, he tipped me off to the Peterborough Examiner, which ran the story.
“It feels incredible to win it,” said Savard, as he received the championship trophy from tournament chairman Roger Self. “I kept good thoughts in and stayed focus. It is special to win your own tournament. I had a lot of support from family (including his wife Valerie) and friends.”
Good for Savvy. Man, I miss him.
