Oehser recaps

The reality, too, was the game broke perfectly in a lot of ways for Jacksonville. The Colts committed two turnovers. They forced none. Jaguars quarterback David Garrard wasn’t spectacular, but he was efficient. The Colts did not sack Gararrd and while the Jaguars weren’t dominant running – running back Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 105 yards on 26 carries – they ran well enough with 174 yards on 35 carries to not allow the Colts to take the lead in the second half.

The result was a familiar scene that put the Colts in an unfamilar position: trailing the AFC South.

Scobee field goals beat the Colts in 2004 and 2008. Each season, the Colts recovered to win 12 games, winning the AFC South in 2004 and making it as a wild card in 2008.
