Bob, Chip, and Dupree’s Week 5 NFL Picks Against the Spread

Slowly but surely getting back into mid-season form.  Both Dupree and I were 8-5 last week, while Chip struggled at 5-8.  None of us are anywhere near what we’re capable of.

Last week I improved to 3-1 in correctly picking the GOW and the outcome in choosing the Vikings over the Packers.  That game was just back and forth, good football.  In the end, Brett Favre stood at mid-field with tears in his eyes after playing one of the best games of his career (yes, career).

I made a couple bold calls in saying that Cleveland and St. Louis would at least cover.  I split that affair.  St. Louis could very well challenge the Lions for an 0-16 season.  Honestly.

Anyway, here are my week 5 picks, followed by Chip’s and Dupree’s:

Some pretty big spreads this week and I might be crazy in picking the Raiders and Bucs to cover.

My game of the week is going to be the 49ers/Falcons extravaganza.  In San Fran, 2-1 Atlanta vs. the surprising 3-1 49ers.  I like the Falcons in this one to bring the 49ers back down to Earth.  Plus, Frank Gore is still out.

I don’t have much else to say.

Here are Chip’s picks:

And last but not least, Dupree’s:
