So, yeah, here’s the voicemail, it sounds like, Tiger Woods left for one of his alleged mistresses. The beginning is kind of hard to catch, but it’s “Hey, it’s Tiger.” Ruh roh….
I think the radio guys pretty much sum it up: “This just sucks, dude.”
This should be a lesson to the media (those who have intentions that are sincere). That’s what you get for placing professional athletes on a pedestal, as not just being incredible athletes, but superior people as well. You get disappointed. Tiger certainly seemed like an all-american human being, on top of being the world’s greatest golfer, but the truth is that we all should admire him for what we know as concrete: he’s the world’s greatest golfer. Of course, now, it’s hard to look up to an athlete when they have glaring scandals swirling about, because doing so would almost be like saying, “it’s okay if you’re morally flawed, because you are a great athlete and make lots of money.”
Whether or not Tiger likes to putt with other women, it doesn’t change the fact he’s the greatest golfer, though. That should make him a role model for people who want to golf like him, or simply enjoy watching him dominate golf. And that’s it.
Unfortunately, due to a couple women, and sources, who couldn’t keep their mouths shut, (and trust me they’re not revealing stories because they feel the world should know the truth about Tiger Woods; they just want attention) what we should be focusing on (his golfing ability) is going to be greatly obstructed by all of the business that should be between him and his lovely, Leon Spinks-fighting, wife.
Obviously, I’d be a liar if I said I’m not following this, but I’m not obsessed with it like some people. I wish it didn’t have to happen, but it has and now it’s gone from “oh, that’s bad if it’s true,” to ugly, to what will probably get downright nasty. To me, I haven’t felt athletes are on some sort of moral high ground in almost a decade, but I know there are people who are going to be devastated by this news. And for them, “this just sucks, dude.”
On a much lighter note, is there anyone in the world who does NOT have a Derek Jeter sex dream at some point? Not me, I swear, but that question was for you.
Apparently, even the world’s greatest golfer and billionare can’t keep his mind off the hunky dory Yankees’ shortstop. This, an alleged email Woods sent to his mistress:
“I had a dream we were married and I was leading the tournament,” he allegedly wrote. “I came home, excited to see you, and there you were in the bedroom getting f – – -ed by Derek and David. Some part of me thinks you would like that. But now I can’t get back to sleep. My body is tired, but mind awake. Need an Ambien.”
I think I need some tylenol and a toilet.
