You are probably already three sheets to the wind, with your noisemakers and silly hats, but I wanted to wish all our readers a very, very Happy New Year now because everyone knows there’s a deadline on that crap (Jan. 1 at noon is usually when I cut it off and do not want to hear or say another Happy New Year).
2009 was full of great things for Detroit4lyfe, including the switch from the amateurish looking Blogger platform to the more professional Bloguin. In fact, most of Detroit4lyfe’s growth occurred over the last eight months. While 2009 was great, we’re hoping to take the site to even greater heights in 2010.
Here is a quick list of five things we hope to do here in 2010:
1) Constantly improve our writing with the use of writer-PEDs, which is not frowned upon in the writing world.
2) Continue to ask you the question after posting, “Are you not entertained?”
3) Hear more of your wonderful opinions on posts, and less spam from Ugg boots employees. Thanks.
4) More daily posts that you can count on being up, ready to read, at scheduled times during the day. With the iPhone/Droid apps, you can now get texts whenever we have a new post, but we’re hoping we can start something daily that will help the poorer people who don’t have iPhones (like me) know when they can check out D4L for mind blowing blog posts.
5) Help break the news that a particular Detroit team just won a championship. We’ll be the first to let you know, I promise.
And what is N00b Years without a little Dick Clark and… ABBA? Happy New Year, everyone! Be safe.
