Tuesday Links – NBA Trade Talks, Detroit Tigers TV Schedule, & Sean Payton’s Onside Kick Decision

All-nighters aren’t fun. If you were following me on Twitter, you’d know that. Some links with your links to start the day.

  • Over at Ball Don’t Lie, Kelly Dwyer takes a look at a possible super-deal between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns. The proposed trade looks more like something from your fantasy league or NBA 2K10 than a real-life possibility, but as always KD makes perfect sense out of it.
  • Kevin Sawyer of Detroit Bad Boys is taking offense to Michigan-native Chris Kaman’s place on the Western Conference All-Star team this season and I have to agree. Of the guys he mentions, I’d probably take Marc Gasol or Tyreke Evans first, but all are more deserving than Kaman.
  • Let’s hear it Ireland: the referee responsible for the infamous hand ball that sent France to the World Cup and Ireland home to their pubs and pots of gold will be on the field in South Africa this summer.
  • NESW Sports looks at something we’ve known for a while here in Michigan: CMU QB Dan LeFevour is pretty damn good. I like the bold prediction at the end of the article, but I think his success depends on the team he’s drafted by.
  • Most of yesterday’s sports discussion revolved around the size of Sean Payton’s stones, with the media singing the praises for a guy they would be bashing unceremoniously if the onside kick hadn’t worked. I loved the call, but most people are forgetting that Payton and the Saints were bailed out by Colts WR Hank Baskett’s butterfingers. You’d figure he’d catch a football no problem with all the practice he gets.
