Tuesday Links – Lions Trade for Tony Scheffler, Comparing the Royals to Peanuts, & the Top 10 Shoes from the NBA This Season

Now that I have a lot more time to kill during the day, I’ll be pulling more and more of the daily links off of Twitter. If you’re not following me, you should be. Also make sure to follow the people I link, they’re always good for other great reads.

  • Simply put, this is awesome. Royals Review points out the crazy similarities between the Kansas City Royals and the baseball team from the Peanuts comic. Definitely a must-read. [via @wezen_ball]
  • For all you sneakerheads out there, make sure to check out The Score for 10 of the most memorable shoes from the 2009-10 NBA season. Steph Curry’s hyperdunks (the red & yellow joints near the bottom) are my top pick from the list. [via @TasMelas]
  • I might be the only one to think this is cool, but it’s also directly related to what I’ve spent the last four years studying here at Michigan. A few students at Northeastern University have invented a shirt to monitor pitching mechanics. Don’t be surprised to see every MLB team using this in a few years.
  • I’ve been in charge of the links here at D4L for almost 8 months now, and I still haven’t posted a picture of two girls kissing. Shame. On. Me. Thanks to Guyism, I can finally check that one off the list.

  • My friends will probably agree that I don’t eat the healthiest diet, but this article about the KFC Double Down is pretty scary. I was really surprised at some of the other sandwiches highlighted too (I’m looking at you, Panera). Make healthy decisions when you have the munchies today. [via @langwhitaker]
Today’s random video and highlight after the jump…

RANDOM AWESOME VIDEO OF THE DAY

I don’t really know how this software would ever be used, but the video is pretty sweet. I might need to take a “Graffiti Analysis” class this summer. [via @jeskeets]

ROB’S HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY

Remember this? Thomas Deruns replicated it to near-perfection in the Swiss League finals. Unfortunately, his team still lost in overtime, 4-3.
