One more day y’all, one more day.
- In what turned out to be a dumb-as-all-hell move, the Associated Press re-voted on Brian Cushing’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award yesterday. I say it was dumb as all hell because Cushing won the revote despite possibly being guilty for taking steroids. The AP needs to prove that the other guys in the running are 100% cleanbefore pulling this stunt again. My guess? They aren’t.
- When asked why Cavs fans should be confident they can overcome the odds tonight against the Boston Celtics (Boston is 32-1 all time when up 3-2 in a series), LeBron James said it best: “They got me.” Celtics fans should be worried about all the criticism LeBron has taken in the past 24 hours, he’s got something to prove now. - With the Tigers giving a disappointing effort in the nightcap of their double header, I flipped over to Versus to see the Montreal Canadiens winning another Game 7 on the road. Guyism is here to helpthe Habscelebrate, while Jamie Fitzpatrick calls out Sidney Crosby for an awful series. [via Kukla’s Korner]
- Rodney Stuckey still has one more year left on a restricted contract, but there’s talk of the Pistons looking to give him a big payday this summer. No matter how Langlois tries to spin it, extending Stuckey’s contract this offseason is a bad idea for the Pistons. [via Detroit Bad Boys]
- After the Philadelphia Flyers won Game 6 to push their series with Boston to a Game 7, the Flyers brass announced that there would be free admission to the Wachovia Center to watch the game (being played in Boston) on the big screen. Free admission = more money for beer = awesome pics/videos for D4L in the near future.
- The Big Ten is coming off it’s first ever win in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and next year’s matchups havealready been announced. Based off of names alone, I could see the Big Ten winning for a second straight year. Yeah I’m probably wrong, but it’s May. Shut up.
- Have you ever stared into your fridge thinking “What the fuck should I make for dinner?” If you’re like me and answered “Every damn night,” this website is for you. [via @drewmagary]
- ESPN’s Rob Neyer points out that Stephen Strasburg will probably continue to dominate the minor leagues for at least three more starts in order to save the Washington Nationals some dough.
