- There was some major hoopla yesterday over Rajesh Kumar, better known as “the dude who has former Cavs coach Mike Brown’s old cell phone number.” Kumar’s Samsung (just a guess) has been blowing up over the past few days after Brown was fired.
- Tigers pitcher Zach Miner (who?) will have Tommy John surgery on his right elbow and will miss the entire season. Losing Miner’s arm is disappointing, but not the end of the world with how well the bullpen (specifically long-relief man Eddie Bonine) has performed.
- Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez has been downright ridiculous this season, starting out with a 9-1 record and a 0.88 ERA after last night’s win. You know you’re good when your ERA is smaller than Kate Bosworth.

- The MLS has flexed its muscle over the past week, going 4-0 against other top clubs from around the world. DC United and New York Red Bulls beat Italian superpowers AC Milan and Juventus, respectively, while both the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy beat Brazilian powerhouse Boca Juniors.
- Frathouse Sports has two reasons why Urban Meyer isn’t such a bad guy. Their names? Nicki and Gigi Meyer. [via Busted Coverage]

With little hope of playing in this summer’s World Cup, David Beckham has decided to do more important things with his celebrity status, like visit troops in Afghanistan. As impressed as he was with the guns, I’m kinda surprised he isn’t at home playing with his wife’s new “guns.”
