Anaheim Angels 1B Kendry Morales broke his leg while celebrating his walk-off grand slam in the Angels’ 5-1 win over Seattle.
As quirky as it seems, Morales’ injury barely cracks the unofficial list of most embarrassing sports injuries of all-time. Check out the rest below.
Bill Gramatica – 2001 1st quarter FG ACL
Cardinals kicked Bill Gramatica kicked a 42-yard field goal to put his team up 3-0 against the New York Giants in a regular season game, but maybe Bill thought he had won the Super Bowl with that kick. He jumped up into the air in celebration, only to tear his ACL and miss the remainder of the season after an awkward landing.
Plaxico Burress – Shot himself
Plax was celebrating not playing in a game due to an injury when he accidentally shot himself in the same leg at a club in New York. The whole Burress scandal was lengthy and ended up with him serving time at Rikers Island.

Zoom Zoom missed the 2006 ALCS with a sore wrist. Later on, doctors discovered that the wrist injury was due to Zumaya’s extensive Guitar Hero sessions, not pitching. “Through the Fire and Flames” can be a real bitch sometimes.

Check out the rest of the injuries after the jump…

John Smoltz – Burnt his chest while ironing the shirt he was wearing
Smoltz may have been a great pitcher, but common sense isn’t exactly one of his strong suits. Smoltz decided to iron a shirt he was wearing at the time. You can figure out the rest.
Tom Glavine – Broken rib while vomiting on an airplane
As funny as Smoltz’s injury is, former teammate Tom Glavine one-upped him while losing his in-flight meal. He broke a rib in the process.
Brian Griese – Ankle injury after tripping over his dog
Former Michigan QB twisted his ankle when he tripped over his Golden Retriever in 2002.

Got any more bizarre injuries that we missed? Leave them in the comments.
