Big Ben is back once again. Ben Wallace signed a two-year deal worth $1.9 million per year with the Pistons this weekend, cementing his legacy as a Piston4lyfe. Big Ben returned to the D with a vengeance last season, posting his best per-minute numbers since leaving Detroit in 2006.
The Pistons could have paid Ben Wallace four times as much over the next two years and I wouldn’t have second guessed this move. Big Ben has earned anything and everything he could want in this city. If there’s one thing I’d ask from him, it would be to bring back the ‘fro he made famous during the prime of his career.
