We always knew Stephon Marbury was a little crazy, but this is nuts even by his standards.
Stephon Marbury said Friday he is still looking for a chance to play in China again though the Miami Heat showed interests in signing the point guard…”They (the Heat) wanted a point guard. But I don’t think a point guard would do much in the team as they’ve already had the Three Guys (Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh).”
From the looks of it, Marbury is turning down the best chance he will ever have at an NBA championship because he won’t be “the guy.” To make things worse, he would likely be the starting point guard (seriously, Carlos Arroyo?) alongside Wade, Bosh, and LeBron. Instead, Starbury wants to take his talents back to China (see what I did there?), where he was the MVP of the CBA All-Star Game.
Of course, it also shows how desperate the Heat are now that they’re reaching out to guys like Marbury, Penny Hardaway, and Juwan Howard to fill out their roster.
