After weeks months years of waffling over whether he is ready to retire or not, Brett Favre has finally (we think) called it quits. Favre had a revelation of sorts in Minnesota this year, posting one of the best statistical seasons of his career. The Vikings lost to the eventual champion New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game.
Despite the last few years of uncertainty, I will always remember Brett torching the Lions twice a season in a Packers uniform. While the Lions have made countless QBs look like All-Pros, Brett did it against all teams week in and week out, starting an NFL record 309 straight games. Love him or hate him, he’s one of the best to ever play the game.
In other news, Favre finally decided what he wanted for lunch last week. His wife had asked him if he wanted a ham or turkey sandwich, but Favre wasn’t sure which way to lean. Today he made his decision, going with the turkey. Good move Brett.
