A bit late with these today; I decided to put on my spiffy jacket and have a night on the town last night.
- I’m not sure when BYU turned into Notre Dame, but their athletic department is looking to wiggle into the same sort of deal as the Irish. BYU would be a football independent and a member of the Western Athletic Conference in all other sports. There’s a Mormon joke in there somewhere.
- Puck Daddy has been plowing through its “Mount Puckmore series” lately, where a team-specific writer chooses four faces to… basically a hockey Mt. Rushmore. The Red Wings version, written/chosen by George Malik, is up now.
- Andrew Sharp, not to be confused with the worthless Drew Sharp, wrote a great piece about Tiger Woods and whether he will recover from what ails him to win again. If needed, a strip club chain is offering to help get the “old Tiger” back.
- Ball Don’t Lie has a little bit of down time before the NBA season starts, so they are filling that space by ranking the 10 best players at each position. First up are the point guards, though I’m not sure how Baron Davis makes that list.
- Sharapova’s Thigh is all about the thighs, naturally. Yesterday Clapp offered up a double dose featuring Leighton Meester and Blake Lively in New York City.
- The Tigers will probably look to put Brandon Inge through waivers this week. There was a false report about this last week, but actually going forward with the move this week doesn’t necessarily mean Inge will be moved.
- Check out Gunaxin’s list of the 10 people you will meet at your fantasy football draft. Amazingly, my 12-team league features every one of these characters.
