Washington Nationals OF Nyjer Morgan has been getting on the nerves of the entire MLB over the past couple weeks, including (possibly) putting Marlins C Brett Hayes on the DL. Chris Volstad may have earned himself another Christmas card or two after throwing behind Morgan in the 6th inning of tonight’s game. Morgan charged the mound and immediately met the right forearm of 1B Gaby Sanchez. Check the video (while it lasts).
I won’t be surprised if Morgan can’t chew solid food for a week or two. I’ve heard those new McDonalds smoothies are pretty good though.
