Former Piston Allen Iverson (man, it hurts to write that) is having a hard time finding work in the NBA. Like most washed-up, me-first ball hog guards are doing now, Iverson is looking to find an answer (pun definitely intended) in China.
Gary Moore, Iverson’s personal manager…said there is “legitimate interest” between Iverson and a team in China to work out a deal. Moore did not know the team’s name and was vague on details.
While I could care less if Iverson ends up in Beijing or Shanghai, this quote made me laugh.
“We’re very astonished, to say the least, that not one [NBA] team has contacted us with any interest,” Moore said. “I just don’t understand it. What has Allen Iverson done to not warrant interest in him?”
Hmm, I don’t know Gary. Why would someone not want Allen Iverson on their favorite team?
