As Red Wings fans, we’ve seen it happen many more times than we’d care to remember: a less talented team gets an early goal, then goes into a shell for the rest of the game while their goalie builds a force field around the net. Usually, we see the losing end of these games. Michigan’s Shawn Hunwick flipped the script tonight, and a couple of timely goals (one an empty netter) sent the Wolverines to the NCAA championship game. Naturally, North Dakota fans weren’t too pleased.
Note the epic sadness in the top left corner. That’s usually us, but it feels sooo good to be on the other end for once.
