I’m still not 100% sold that Magglio Ordonez is back to the Maggs of old, but watching him turn on this pitch gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling today.
The Tigers’ 7-5 win puts them just half a game behind the Indians for first place in the AL Central, but Cleveland has a 4-1 lead over the Rockies in the bottom of the 6th inning right now. Still, with all three road interleague series out of the way, the Tigers can head back to the CoPa and feast on some weaksauce NL lineups over the next 2 weeks.
And if the Indians and White Sox could lose a few games along the way? That would be great.
