The Godfather has struck again: Patrick Eaves agreed to a 3 year, $3.6 million contract with the Red Wings this morning. Eaves has put up 44 points in 128 games over the past two seasons with the Wings, none of which have come in shootouts.
With free agent names dwindling faster than the collective gene pool of the state of Ohio, it’s less likely that the Wings will make a big splash in free agency. This might be the season that we see some of the young talent in Grand Rapids make an impact (either good or bad) at the NHL level.
