Max Scherzer fdjsk;fjdafj Miguel Cabrera fdk;sjfaksjaf Jose Valverde DEATH TO HANGING SPLITTERS.
Now that I’ve gotten out of the way, what a game. The Tigers needed a big pitching performance from Scherzer after semi-losing Justin Verlander in Game 0.5, and Scherzer delivered. He took a no-hitter into the 6th inning and gave up zero runs (partially thanks to Joaquin Benoit shutting the door in the 7th). Benoit and Valverde gave up a combined 3 runs in the last two innings, but ultimately got the job done.
With the series shifting to Detroit, the Tigers are in the driver’s seat and will show no mercy in front of the hometown fans.
Let’s just hope that Justin Verlander is a little more brutal to the Yankees lineup tomorrow.
