UPDATE: Billy Zane wanted to stop by to send Mr. Datsyuk his regards.
With 5 seconds left, all it took was a dangle from Dangle to give the Red Wings their 22nd consecutive win at home, tying the multi-season record set by Boston back when your grandpa paid 5 cents for tickets.
While this win isn’t exactly going to reverberate in a historical sense like the last one did, it’s a big win for the Wings. This team is starting to develop an aura of invincibility around the Joe — moreso than usual, that is — which could pay dividends come playoff time, especially if the Wings are able to run away with the Central Division.
