If you missed it late last night (and still haven't seen the highlight all day), here's Gustav Nyquist's OT game winner against the Anaheim Ducks, which evened the series at 1-1:
Valtteri Filppula's drag was remarkable — Datsyukian even. He made Corey Perry drop to his knees and look like the chump that he is and then was able to make a backhanded pass to Nyquist on the left side of the net. Nyquist then one-timed it over the glove of a flailing Hiller. And they celebrated.
After blowing a three-goal lead, winning 1:21 into OT was not expected. Filppula and Nyquist teaming up for a goal like that, a goal that would make hummingbirds sing showtunes as women stretch out their jaws, was very low on my list of expectations. I thought the Red Wings were destined to lose a back breaker. I'm glad I was wrong. Now I think I'll watch the above highlights again.
