The Tigers only scored AH run in 18 innings of baseball on Friday against the Kansas City Royals. It should come as no surprise then, thanks to stellar starts from Danny Duffy and James Shields, the Royals swept the doubleheader against baseball's best offense.
The Royals are no joke, though, especially since the All-Star break, so I'm not concerned in the least. In fact, thanks to this little tweet bit, I'm admittedly relieved:
Needed this sweep. I'm on board RT @Stareagle: Good omen for the Tigers: Kansas City last swept a doubleheader in Detroit on August 5, 1984

Sometimes you need your ace to go out and toss eight strong, take a loss, and follow that game hours later with a quality spot start from a Triple-A call up and lose that game too.
