Without question, this Interleague affair on August 24 easily attracts the label of being the most expensive Tigers tickets on the secondary market in August. While it’s a staggering fee, being nearly $300 on average, the get-in price is actually extremely fair, being less than $15. This may not be the game to pay up for the better seats, but there is still some solid value to be had when these two face off later this month. Cincy brings serious power to the table via Todd Frazier, Joey Votto, and Jay Bruce, and with Detroit’s own assortment of lumber in the form of Victor Martinez, J.D. Cheapest – 8/6/2015 VS. Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park | Avg: $33 | Get-in: $9
As crazy as Detroit’s priciest game is, their cheapest set of tickets might even be crazier. This battle with the division rival White Sox is just $33, despite the Tigers hosting a hated AL Central rival. Detroit has had the White Sox’s number so far in 2015, leading the season series, 7-5, but the likes of Jose Abreu, Adam Eaton and Melky Cabrera have really turned things on offensively. Watching the Tigers in a visiting park is a few clicks away through Hipmunk.com, which provides the cheapest airfare to Chicago. The first 12 games were separated by just seven runs, so we can probably expect a decent amount of offense and a fairly tight game on August 6. The best part? Fans can hit some solid seats for less than half the normal Tigers ticket price. Oh, and with both teams still relatively close to a Wild Card spot, this is certainly a meaningful game in the standings as well.
