Secondary market ticket aggregator TiqIQ.com has six listed UFC events that are taking place this year before 2015 reaches its conclusion. UFC 192 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas has the least expensive average ticket price out of all listed events, with an average price of $179.73 and a get-in price of $46.
In mid-November, UFC 193: Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm has an average price over $500, followed by a December UFC Fight Night Event headlined by Paige VanZant vs. Joanne Calderwood with an average ticket price just over $300. The final three listings: a UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale, UFC 194, and UFC on FOX have average ticket prices between $250 and $994, respectively.
However, October 3 at the Toyota Center is offering up a top-flight Light Heavyweight Title fight between Daniel “DC” Cormier and Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson. The champion from the USA boasts a 15-1-0 record, but Gustafsson’s career record of 16-3-0 is basically just as impressive. Cormier was opportunistic early this year, when Jon Jones had been stripped of the Light Heavyweight championship and was suspended indefinitely. With a vacant title, Cormier took advantage of his newfound opportunity against Anthony Johnson in May and won by submission to claim victory. This is Cormier’s first title defense.
With UFC tickets being on the cheaper side, it’s an opportune time to see one of the main events live and in person. Hipmunk.com will get UFC fans to the action with flights to Houston from any major city, and they also offer a Houston hotel guide that will provide deals throughout the city or near the airport for convenience.
The rest of the main card includes: No. 1-ranked Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks (17-3-0) against No. 3-ranked Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley (15-3-0), No. 4-ranked Ryan “Darth” Bader (20-4-0) against No. 5-ranked Rashad “Suga” Evans (24-3-1), Shawn “The Savage” Jordan (18-6-0) sparring with Ruslan “Leopard” Magomedov (13-1-0) and finally, No. 6-ranked Jessica “Evil” Eye (11-3-0 1 NC) against No. 12-ranked Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Pena (7-2-0).
