“I live my life as if I only have one contract,” he said. “If tomorrow is the end of football for me, I’m good with that, because that’s how I viewed myself coming into my rookie year. If I could get another contract, that’s a bonus to me.
“Some people, about a contract, are like ‘I’ve got to press’ and ‘I’ve got to do this’ or ‘I’ve got to do that.’ You’re putting too much stress on yourself instead of just going out and playing. I feel like I was actually on a roll until I got hurt. If it happens, it was already meant for me to get that. If it don’t happen, it was meant for me to not to get it.”
