Compiled from roster reports at nfl.com, here is a capsule of Ducks that have survived Saturday’s annual purge in the NFL:
Jeff Maehl has made the roster for Chip Kelly’s Eagles. The team released two other receivers Saturday as they cut several players to the 53-man limit. Casey Matthews hung on to a spot as a reserve inside linebacker and special teams player. Patrick Chung starts at free safety. (philadelphiaeagles.com photo)
Kiko Alonso is #1 on the depth chart at middle linebacker for the Bills. He’ll wear number 50 this season. Jairus Byrd signed a one-year contract late in August and will start at free safety.
Josh Kaddu and Dion Jordan have made the roster in Miami. Kaddu is active as a reserve linebacker and on special teams, while Jordan, at this point, is a situational pass rusher, still nursing a shoulder injury following surgery last spring. Michael Clay was released earlier.
LeGarrette Blount will be a reserve running back for the New Englad Patriots. Shane Vereen is the starter, even though Blount rambled for a hundred-yard game versus the Eagles in preseason.
First round draft pick Kyle Long had a great fall camp for the Bears and will be in the team’s rotation at offensive line.
With Jonathan Stewart injured, Kenjon Barner is the #2 running back at Carolina behind DeAngelo Williams. Former Oregon tight end Brandon Williams also made the roster.
John Boyett remains on the non-football injury list for the Colts.
David Paulson is the Steeler’s 3rd-team tight end behind starter Matt Spaeth.
The Baltimore Ravens feature two starters from Oregon, tight end Ed Dickson and nose tackle Haloti Ngata.
Hard-hitting T.J. Ward starts at strong safety for the Cleveland Browns, while Eddie Pleasant is a backup strong safety and special teams heat-seeking missle for the Houston Texans.
For Jim Harbaugh and NFC Champion 49’ers, LaMichael James is the #2 tailback behind Frank Gore although he’ll start the season out with an injury. Adam Snyder made the team as a backup guard. Will Tukuafu plays on the defensive line and on special teams, a 3-year veteran with the team after sticking as a free agent in 2010.
Kellen Clemens hung on to the #2 quarterback job at St. Louis behind Sam Bradford.
Max Unger is a 5-year NFL veteran and a 4-year starter for the Seahawks, a former second round draft pick.
Drew Davis made the depth chart as a receiver with the Falcons. He get some snaps in 3-receiver sets and playing behind starters Julio Jones and Roddy White.
Spencer Paysinger holds down a starting spot at weakside linebacker for the Giants.
7-year NFL veteran Dante Rosario remains on the roster for the Dallas Cowboys, contributing as a reserve tight end and special teams player.
