Three Oregon commits made it official today by signing letters of intent to play for UO. December 18th is the first day junior college players can sign, and CB Dominique Harrison, defensive end Tua Talia and offensive guard Haniteli Lousi all followed on their verbal pledges by faxing in their letters to the Oregon football office.
With cornerbacks Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and Terrance Mitchell contemplating a move to the NFL, Harrison is a vital addition at defensive back, a fast, physical cover guy who runs a 4.4 40. As a freshman he led the nation in interceptions and was Bay Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.

Talia is a strong, superbly-conditioned defensive lineman at 6-5, 275, expected to play at 290 for the Ducks. He could be dominating, and Ron Aiken’s unit needs him as five defensive linemen are graduating, including strong side defensive end Taylor Hart.
Lousi is another key acquisition, a big offensive lineman with agility, 6-5, 290, a great fit to strengthen the rotation at guard next fall.
The Ducks aren’t done in the junior college ranks. They’re still pursuing some coveted targets at nose tackle, including Rika Levi, 6-2, 350, a teammate of Lousi’s at College of San Mateo.
