Three-star defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao announced this morning at the USA Football Signing Day breakfast that he has chosen L.S.U. for his national letter of intent.

Leaalimatafao called the school "defensive tackle university" and stated that he felt the school prepared him best for the NFL. The senior from John Warren High School in San Antonio, Texas visited Oregon last week, and was once considered a likely Oregon commit.

The Ducks lost 305-lb. Wade Keliikipi, 316-lb. Ricky Havali-Heimuli and 287-lb. Taylor Hart from their d-line rotation after the Alamo Bowl as well as reserve linemen Ryan Hagen and Jared Ebert. Some fans were counting heavily on Trey L., but the pull of an SEC school closer to home was too great.

In January the coaching staff offered several high-profile big tackles as coaching changes opened up their commitment, but struck out on all of them. They did garner a verbal commitment from three-star prospect Austin Maloata, a 6-3, 260-lb. DT from American Samoa who transferred to Centennial High School of Corona, California for his senior year.
