First up, if anything needs some good news it’s the Oregon basketball team, and it got some in a big way, 4* point guard, Ahmaad Rorie is a Duck. Rorie originally signed with Cal, but when Mike Montgomery retired, he asked to be released from that commitment, and the field was wide open. Rorie is 6’0 and from Tacoma, which of course makes it doubly sweet to snag him right out of the Huskies’ backyard. First reports are that there is definitely room for him to work on his passing & ball handling, but he is a shooter & scorer, and will demand constant attention from opposing defenses.
Summer reading is here!! The first prediction publications are on the stands, and the Ducks are lookin’ good! In both Lindy’s and Sporting News, noting Addison’s loss for the season, the Ducks are listed at 4 and 2 respectively. In SN, Stanford is 6, UCLA is 8. Lindys has UCLA 8, Michigan State 7, and no Stanford.
