Can you believe it’s at the halfway point already for Fantasy seasons? It seems like just yesterday IAFL was created. Instead of an article I’m going to sit in a corner and reminisce. Never mind let’s get this going! Remember, notables are cheaper options to consider.
Giants vs Rams
Notables – Case Keenum 6700
Kenny Britt 6200
Tavon Austin 5800
No Giants on here because no real notables I would start to be honest. Their record doesn’t give justice to how bad they have looked. On the brighter side Case Keenum has been absolutely on fire and his favorite target is Rutgers own Kenny Britt. Double digits each week so far! I still like Tavon for boom or bust potential.
Saints vs Chiefs
Notables – Jeremy Maclin 6800
Michael Thomas 5700
Coby Fleener 5900
So the Saints defense scares me with one thing and that’s the fact that if there is 1 play maker wide receiver on the opposing offense they shut them down(IE Julio Jones), but I feel they will be more focused on stopping the run. I wanted to put Alex Smith as well because he surprisingly only had 19 rushing yards on the season and I’m positive he will have a field day with his legs this game. Thomas has been an emerging stud and Fleener is really coming to his own as a great weapon. High scoring and fun game to watch this week.
Vikings vs Eagles
Notables – Vikings Defense 4900
Kyle Rudolph 5400
Jerrick Mckinnon 6500
Vikings D is a must start regardless of any matchup. I didn’t put any Eagles because I don’t think any of them offensively will do anything worth noting. Wentz looked like a rookie last week and will definitely turn the ball over against the best defense in the league. I have no idea why Rudolph the Redzone Reindeer is so cheap still but while he is start him. Just remember Eagles defense isn’t a pushover either and Asiata could be a vulture this game but Mckinnon should get the volume. If anyone produces on the Eagles I really like Dorian Green Beckham as a sleeper.
Colts vs Titans
Notables – Marcus Mariota 7900
Kendall Wright 5000
Jack Doyle 4700
Mariota will have his final humongous game this week as his schedule gets much tougher down the road but I like that he’s spreading the ball. Kendall Wright is a dynamic talent but he’s been plagued with injury. As a late flier he’s worth a stash. Jack Doyle is better than Dwayne Allen. There I said it. With Allen out he will see the volume and give you at least a touchdown.
Bills vs Dolphins
Notables – Jay Ajayi 6400
Mike Gillislee 5300
Only two because I’m truly not a fan of either QB this game and Jarvis Landry is the only receiver I’d start on both teams. I’m not saying Ajayi had a fluke game but I am saying he won’t do that this game. At all. But know who’s worth a start? Gillislee! Even if Shady plays(which would be very stupid)he has had a touchdown the last 2 games and Shady would be limited. He’s a must start in all formats if Shady is out.
Redskins vs Lions
Notables – Matt Jones 6700
Golden Tate 6600
Jamison Crowder 6200
This is Matt Jones game for the taking. The Lions have the third worst rushing defense in the league right now. Crowder has been solid the last few weeks and is definitely worth consideration and what?! Golden Tate is back?! Yes! He’s looking back to form and is insanely cheap for a solid flex option on DK.
Browns vs Bengals
Notables – Brandon Lafell 5700
Jeremy Hill 6800
Duke Johnson 5300
Before I go onto the notables, Joe Haden is out and Aj Green is going to have a monster game. But so could Lafell. A touchdown in his last 2 games he’s been a favorite redzone option. If Jeremy Hill can’t get it done this week I’d consider dropping him in redraft leagues under 12 people to be honest. Duke Johnson is stealing from The Crow and is a great PPR option especially if Pryor misses time with his hamstring injury.
Raiders vs Jaguars
Notables – Tj Yeldon 6300
Blake Bortles 7400
So Carr, Cooper and Crabtree are obvious starts nowadays and I won’t mention them. So I’ll mention this bold prediction. Yeldon will finally claim his spot in the backfield with 100 total yards, Bortles will silence the haters with 300 yards and Allen Robinson will make every owner happy with 100 yards and a touchdown. Bold.
Ravens vs Jets
Notables – Breshad Perriman 5400
Bilal Powell 5400
Ravens Defense 4800
Steve Smith will be missing his second consecutive game and Perriman will get another chance to shine his speed. Geno will be throwing to the Ravens defense so Powell should see a nice workload and…wait…what’s that? Big what? Big Dawg To Sit Of The Week!!!!!!!!!!! Sit Marshall! Ravens defense has the lowest points against and Geno Smith is NOT the answer to the Jets offense. (I say that now but Genos last start was a perfect game)I still feel good about my BD to sit.
Chargers vs Falcons
Here’s the game where I give a full paragraph analyzing it. Chargers defense will not be able to stop Matt Ryans power house offense and the Falcons defense will struggle against Philip Rivers dynamic playing style. What’s that mean? Absolute shoot out!!!! Tyrell Williams or Travis Benjamin will have their true first monster game this year and Hunter Henry should see majority of the redzone targets alongside a stout running game(as long as beginning season wasn’t a fluke for Gordon). Freeman and Coleman should both have a hell of a game as well and I would start one of them in your lineup this week undoubtedly.
Buccaneers vs 49ers
Notables – Cameron Brate 5200
Torrey Smith 5600
Mike Davis 4500
Vincent Jackson going on the IR gives the biggest upside to Brate. Expect him to become a top 5 tight end within weeks. As predicted last week Torrey Smith did well with Kaepernick and should continue to. Now Mike Davis… I have been torn all week on whether or not Davis or Draughn was the one to start. Davis only started getting snaps 2 weeks ago but since he started he’s been out snapping Draughn. I think Draughn gets the goal line touches but pure volume will be Davis.
Seahawks vs Cardinals
Notables – Tyler Lockett 5200
Michael Floyd 5900
Yeah… Floyd is here. Touchdown dependent but John Brown is battling sickle cell soreness so may not be very useful if he plays. Lockett has great big play potential and since Baldwin will be guarded by Patrick Peterson he should have some great looks. Going to be a low scoring boring game though. David Johnson is an always start but this could be a rough matchup.
That’s it for the analysis!
