A Week 1 in college basketball rarely sees major movement in the polls to mostly easy schedules from the top schools. However, one team decided the first week was the best time to tell the college basketball world to watch out; the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers upset Kansas in their season opener led by James Blackmon. In most polls entering the season, Indiana was an afterthought. However, their first win over the season which could also go down as a season defining win, vaulted them into the top-5 from most major pollsters. College Basketball Zealots does not compile a preseason Top 25 because we find it to be a sham and a waste of time.
