The number three prospect in the 2017 basketball recruiting class, Wendell Carter, committed to the Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday. The 6’9”, 254 pound Georgia native chose the Duke Blue Devils over offers from Harvard, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Alabama.
Carter stands a chance to make an immediate impact for the Blue Devils 2017 basketball team with expected losses in the backcourt to include Amile Jefferson, Marques Bolden and Harry Giles. Scouts describe Carter as the best low post player in the 2017 recruiting class with a plethora of polished moves that will give Duke opponents fits throughout the 2017-2018 season.
