The All-NBA Defensive first and second teams were announced and while San Antonio Spurs’ Tim Duncan received 11 votes (three for first team) and ManuGinobili received two votes (one for first team) it was not enough for either to be named to either team:

Duncan pretty much has made this team throughout his career but his major drop in production this season proved to end this streak. However, despite his drop in production, he still averaged a respectable 8.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks this season. He upped these numbers in the playoffs averaging 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks.
For Ginobili, it was just tough competition ahead of him at the guard position. Lakers’ Bryant, Hornets’ Paul and especially Memphis’ Allen just were that much better defenders than Ginobili.
