Nando De Colo, who the San Antonio Spurs drafted in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft, was recently named as one of the best point guards in the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto or ACB in Spain, according to BasketBrasil.
Marcelinho Huertas, Tiago Splitter’s former teammate with Caja Laboral, took home the ACB Best Point Guard award, voted on by ACB coaches, players and fans.
De Colo, who averaged 10.9 points and 2.2 assists per game with Power Electronics Valencia, was third in voting behind Huertas and Omar Cook.
While De Colo has played well in the ACB, I doubt we’ll see him in the silver and black any time soon. He likely would’ve made the summer league roster if summer league was not cancelled.
