Panthers head coach Ron Rivera tried to send a message at the start of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, and judging by the play that followed, he probably shouldn’t have.

Derek Anderson.
It went about as well as you’d have thought, too. Anderson threw a pass intended for running back Jonathan Stewart, that bounced off his hands and was picked off by Mike Morgan.

According to Panthers radio, Cam Newton will not be starting tonight due to disciplinary reasons. Must have happened pre-game.
