Remember that whole deal about things going from bad to worse for Pittsburgh Pirates fans? Well, it’s about to get, ummm…worser?
As if Jung Ho Kang’s DUI arrest in Korea on Friday wasn’t bad enough, more details have emerged.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this is the third time the third baseman has been charged with driving drunk and because of that, his driver’s license was immediately revoked. Kang had also been arrested in August 2009 and May 2011. His blood alcohol content level Friday was 0.084 percent. The legal limit in South Korea is 0.05 percent.
But wait, that’s not all.
A buddy of Kang’s tried to take the fall by telling police that he was the driver. Problem is, the black box inside the car (yes…really!) confirmed that it was Kang was behind the wheel. And, if it is determined by police that Kang planned these shenanigans, the duo could face additional abetting charges.
Oh, and then there’s that whole alleged sexual assault thing from this past June. Who knew the off season in Pittsburgh would be this scandalous?
