I can confirm that there will be a full NBA season starting this fall, but you’ll have to buy NBA 2K12 to get something close to a full season if the worst happens.
Along with the 2K12 game comes a soundtrack that I was going to roll my eyes at, but it’s actually a pretty good line up. Game Bandits posted some of the artists which include Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Cee-Lo and Q-Tip. Other artists include Pharoahe Monch & Smif N Wessun’s “Shout the Winners Out” (funny, I like to call Josh Smith “Josh Smiff”), and Freddie Gibbs’ “Look Easy.” There are two new acts in the play list, Alex K and D.J.I.G. These two acts are the winners of NBA 2K12′s Duck Down contest.
I actually had my first NBA 2K experience with 2K11. Between doing a season with the San Antonio Spurs and creating my own guy to get drafted by the Heat and end up starting alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, it’s been a pretty fun experience and I haven’t really scratched the surface of everything in the game.
So if you’re into video games and haven’t sampled the NBA 2K series, I suggest you start with either 2K11 or 2K12. The Jordan, Magic, Bird and Dr. J challenges are sure to be highly entertaining. Also, you can trade Chris Paul to the Spurs for Tony Parker and Matt Bonner and get away with it.
What about you Spurs fans? What songs would you like to see in the game soundtrack?
