Video: Spurs’ Bulter hoping to stay with Spurs

It’s been well documented here at Project Spurs that San Antonio Spurs’ Da’Sean Butler has been vigorously training in the offseason.

From boxing, to participating in intense training programs, Butler is determined to prove the naysayers wrong that he has what it takes to make it in the NBA and with the Spurs despite suffering a devastating knee injury in college.

But now as the NBA lockout is in full swing, it would seem his hopeful NBA debut will be put on hold indefinitely. But that’s OK for Butler as he is simply preparing for next season.

“I’m looking forward to playing. I’m trying to stay in shape and stay in condition and ready to go. I just have to wait it out some more,” said Butler. “When I get the opportunity to play the opportunity will present itself.”

For more, check out the video below to hear what Butler said about his time with the Spurs’ D-League affiliate Austin Toros, his hopes about staying with the Spurs and more.
